I use Tera-Byte for a couple of my sites

http://web.tera-byte.com/shared.php

Used them for nearly 8 years now. I have a few hosts and have been with several that I've dropped, they all have their problems from time to time, they differ in how they deal with the problems.

I agree with the OP. I noticed it immediately and it has been the same ever since I've been braced, though it's obviously not the same for everyone and it IS very real for me. I've explained it to myself in that I am far more sensitive to physical sensation in my mouth now - as a result of the brace...

Sit there and ask questions until you've done. You're paying for this, they are providing a service, if they don't like the questions they should explain better in the first place.

I hate arrogant people like this who forget who is the piper and who pays.

My ortho (in the UK) gave me something called Keral which seems to be a brand name of Dexketoprofen. It's prescription only I think but works very well. The blurb that comes with it says it's especially good for dental pain. I've only used that and not tried anything else as doing a fair trial hasn'...

I've shown far more people my teeth + braces than I ever did teeth w/o braces.

The soreness is associated with getting the teeth moving, once they are moving the soreness weras off but they are still going. The initail movement is encouraging though, I had my powerchain replaced 2 days ago and I reckon I've seen about 1mm of movment since then! When I first had my braces fitte...

Hi jjpj, I'm a teacher and I was braced at 45. The response has been either one of "cool - great" - and has gained me a load of kudos with some kids, "really? - you have braces? - why?" followed by immediate return to their own lives or complete disinterest. My teaching colleague...

I love Toblerone and so make the effort to cut it up and eat in slowly. The worst food I've had in braces is macadamia nuts, they instantly shatter when bitten between molars into a thousand pieces which immediately become lodged in every space possible and refuse to shift with any amount of surrept...

They won't break the wire, but I just don't get the same pleasant sensation from eating hard crunchy foods with braces on. Also, crisps very quickly go soggy and get stuck in every tooth/bracket/wire gap you've got.

Try a couple and then my guess is you'll give up on them.

Hi Amy You weren't doing anything - now you are! Your teeth will better - you are someone who doesn't put up with what you have been given, you want more and are prepared to do something about it. I thought one of the good things about braces is that they don't really make you look worse, just diffe...

Paying cash out of my own pocket. Less than 10 years ago I had a house re-possessed, this year I paid cash for the one I'm living in. Funny how life goes in ups and downs!

I use a waterpik and wooden dental sticks for awkward stuff - can't be bothered with floss, far too awkward. It works well for me.

I'm 45 and 5 month braced. Last adjustment my ortho asked how I felt about my braces, "any regrets?" - my reply was "yes - that I didn't do it much sooner". I agree entirely with the sentiments that the worst part is the anticipation. I am aware of my braces in a good way as they...

I agree c00ky83, it's not easy to find. Oral B is about the only brand that is alcohol free and quite rare while the sorts with alcohol is everywhere.

I stopped worrying about it so much, though find some of the alcohol ones taste pretty awful by comparison (no - I'm not a non-drinker!).
