Does anyone know the consequences of torque? My ortho is realigning my torque. She explained what it is, but I don't understand the problem. Is it strictly cosmetic?

I have the same problem. I'm being told a narrower arch is the inherent result from teeth extractions. I'm pretty ticked I wasn't told about it before I made the decision.

I asked this elsewhere, but I thought this woluld be easier for you. My dentist wants to bond uppers and lowers for my retainer, no other kind of retainer used. It seems unorthodox. Do you know of anything inherently bad about this?

I had 4 teeth extracted and never got a second opinion. I deeply regret it. My arch is now narrower than it used to be and I wish someone would have told me of this consequence.

My dentist didn't inform me that extracting teeth would narrow my arch. I'm now unhappy with my narrow smile. Is there anything that can be done at this point? I'm 36 months into treatment with almost all gaps closed.

Thanks for the input! I supposed quantifying things are individualistic. The problem is: I'm not happy. I think my smile is too narrow for my mouth. Can it be widened again? Is that possible?
