Post daily wear

I just finished my daily wear of invisalign trays on March 1st. I started 12 hour wear since that date. I have tried cutting back the last week to every other PM--ouch last pm I could barely fit on the bottom tray. I guess I am back to sleep wear. :)

Retainers

I have been wearing my lower retainer for a couple months. It is a regular inviasalign tray without the teeth "blocks" (he sanded them off) with a letter R on it rather than a number (ie tray 25). I forget that one is even in my mouth. My teeth look great, but I am having upper molds and r...

Sax and invisaligners

I am doing well with wearing my liners, but take them out to play my alto sax. I have been doing great. Only an issue the first 24 hours after putting in new trays as the teeth are sore. There is no need to give up your instrument with invisaligns.

Near finished with my Invisalign treatment

I am nearly finished with 25 upper trays ( I had 20 lower trays). I am looking great with straight teeth. They were not horrible before, but wow now. My sister had similar issues, and did veneers instead. Much more money, but immediate satisfaction. Her teeth are not entirely hers, although. She saw...

smelly retainers

I am now almost half way through my trays. I brush them with baking soda based tooth paste once daily and then usually a 30 second bath in Listerine and water mix ( in a ziplock) once a day. I brush my teeth minimally 3 times/day with either sensidyne or baking soda based toothpaste. I found Listeri...

Points to remember about invisalign

As I approach tray 8 in two days I have learned points to remember about invisalign. First, the new trays are less annoying the further you get into your program. I get use to them overmight and forget about them all the time in my mouth. Second, my dentist called where I am, 8 out of 20 lower and 8...

Life after Invisalign

Has anyone ever finished with their initial trays and want to comment? How is the maintenance wearing of their trays at night? Just want to know. :?: [/b]

Saxophone playing and invisaligns

I have tried to play for weeks with the invisaligns in and just went back to taking them out first. I have gotten so efficient with pulling them in and out that no one notices when I have my head in the sax case.

Continuing with Invisaligns

I am going to be using my 4th set tonight. I have had a few set backs, but doing well. I have had my last 2 lowers crack. They can order replacements, but they crack just about at 2 weeks of use. My mouth is rarely sore. My closest coworker has not noticed until she saw me pull them out today at lun...

Opps misinformation

I took out my 2nd set of liners and realized I have 25 uppers and 20 lowers--I misstated 20 and 15 respectively. I guess it just means a longer time to see my new smile. UPDATE: I am ready for the second tray. I am doing much better and forget these things are in my mouth almost every meal. I just s...

I was told I could use listerine pocket paks (little dissolvable pieces) while my liners are in my mouth between brushing for breath issues. No Altoids or tic tacs because the chemicals could stain the liners? Also I cannot use mouth wash while the liners are in my mouth. They said also not to soak ...

You mean you play while the invisaligns are actually in your mouth? I appreciate if you would confirm that fact. :singing:

Saxophone playing and invisaligns

Does anyone play a musical instrument in invisaligns? I have tried with them in, and I cannot play my sax. If I take them out to play the sax, I am afraid of my teeth being pushed in the wrong direction and more soreness/less effectiveness. I am in a small band which plays at a large church every fe...

AVL;
ask about teeth thinning too. That is where they shave your teeth to make it all fit. I heard .2mm is oaky but not much more. I did not need any. Also I heard if you need more than 20 trays, it is a case that may be considered borderline effective for invisalign.

New plastic aligners (invisalign)

Hi, I only signed up to be a voice that is a positive one about invisalign braces. I have had mine a week. I almost did not go through with this because of the negative opinions voiced here. Yes, I am a Doctor. No, I am not a Dentist or Orthodontist. So, therefore, I am much like the rest of you. My...
