What do you do?
When you know your ortho is working on one area or closing a gap in a specific area and another gap opens in another area do you call your ortho and go in? I'm having this issue where we are trying to close a very small gap and one has opened up on the other side of my jaw. I'm just not sure what to...

Thanks guys! I called the insurance company this afternoon to check what they would do. And she said that since it's not that I'm terminating treatment and I've been in treatment for most of the projected time they would pay the full $1500. What they did was pay $325 to start and than they have been...

Well believe it or not as luck would have it I had a tieback come off last night while brushing my teeth. I've been wearing those things since February and never had that problem until now. So I made the call. I talked with the treatment corrodinator and told her about the tieback and than I told he...

Thanks all. I've calmed down some since this morning. I realized that my daughter has an adjustment in two weeks and I am going to talk to him than. It will give me a little more time to get myself together. When I talk about it I still get mad. But I will get to the bottom of this before Maui!!! Ag...

In tears after adjustment
Maybe it's a silly reason to cry but I am. The last few times I've gone in for adjustments the ortho has said we are getting close and almost there. Last time he said one more visit and than they would come off. We are going to Maui on vacation July 14th (I've never been and have no idea when I'll g...

I have all my teeth. About a month ago my ortho bracketed one of my wisdom teeth because it was at an odd angle. After one day I was having severe jaw and ear pain not to mention the whole the bracket was creating in my cheek. He took the bracket off two days later. He said it was worth a try but in...

very well experienced with this one myself. Mine would come off almost every time I brushed my teeth. Try having someone help you with it or try tweezers. Either way you should go into the ortho Monday and have them fix it so it won't come off as often. Are they being used to close or open space? Mi...

Yes, he is a wonderful ortho. We took my daughter to three different orthos and she liked mine the best so he is now working on her (she's 8 1//2). Really not sure what I am going to do with the wisdom tooth or the other three. My hygentist would love for me to have them out but she says she can't c...

Just wanted to update you guys as to what happened with my wisdom tooth. I called this morning and told them about the pain and they said come right in. I sat in the chair and the ortho took and look. And than he freed my wisdom tooth. Pulled the bracket right off, cleaned off the glue and sent me o...

Thanks guys. You know it's not so much the pain in my mouth that is getting to me, that I can handle, it's the pain I'm getting in my ear. Either way I'm calling my Ortho Tuesday morning. He is great and I really trust him but I can't keep going with this. Amy Damon 2's top and bottom braced 12-16-04

Missingu- your post did not anger me, sorry if I came across that way. I think it's a good idea for people who are doing research to hear both sides of experience with Damon's. I know other people in the past have had a problem with the doors on Damon 3's not opening and I was concerned for my daugh...

Well I am one person who loves Damons. I have Damon 2's and was bracketed on Dec. 16th 2004. My 8 1/2 year old daughter just got Damon 3's put on last week and is not having any problems. I was told that my estimated treatment time would be 20-24 months but now we are looking at 16-17 months. I had ...
