When the day came for my braces to come off, after 3 years, I almost told my ortho not to take them off yet, because I had the impression that one tooth was still not in the right position and seemed smaller than the one next to it. He explained that it was because of the gum and that as soon as I h...

I wasn't told anything about eating and drinking with retainer in, therefore I don't have any problem drinking while having it on and I clean/rinse the teeth & retainer when I finish (if it's smth else than water) but for eating I take it off, I don't think I could bite/chew very well.

I was told 3 months 24/7, except for my wedding day, and then at least 1 year during the night.

I managed to eat everything while having braces, even corn on the cob (that was bit messy business though and a bit difficult to bite), popcorn, Snickers, pretty much everything.. I'll probably have chewing gum now :)

I got my braces off 2 days ago and now I'm "enjoying" the retainer. My ortho didn't tell me anything about drinking or not drinking while having it on (and didn't cross my mind to ask, either), therefore I am having a cup of cappuccino as we speak. Don't know if it's good or bad, but I'll ...

skip adjustment

Hi all! Sorry for bringing this up again, if it has been previosly discussed, but I really don't have time to search the forum now, as I have limited access to internet and not so much time to check all posts. I was just wondering what's happening if you skip adjustments, how will that influence the...

Happened to me as well.. my front teeth (central incisors) changed from being crooked to being separate by a small gap, but I didn't worry too much about it, on the contrary, I was happy they're not crooked anymore.. hope there's nothing to worry about and that this is just a stage of the treatment ...

Hi there! Looks like we're in the same situation! :) I have braces since September 2007 and the main reason I wanted to have them is because my canines looked pretty much like yours - I had removable braces when I was younger, but almost no results (being removable, I took them off quite often and d...

Brushing+Flossing+Mouthwash in the morning and before I go to bed. Rinsing while at work. I used to brush after every meal, but not anymore. I have 2 normal toothbrushes and a small, interdental one.

I have braces since middle September 2007; I've compared the photo I've taken then with one taken recently, and I was so surprised to see the progress, when I thought nothing much was going on.. so it's been 4 months and a bit, and I see progress! I still have a stubborn canine which won't move.. so...

I've also had removable braces when I was in higschool (exactly as you described it, no brackets, just the wire), about 10 years ago, but didn't see results, I used to take them off when eating, even when speaking at school, so I didn't used them properly.. I am not sure how efficient they are for a...

I'd say don't worry! I have braces since October, just like you, but haven't noticed massive improvement yet - there is however a visible movement of my central incisor, but my major problem are the canines.. I guess each case is different.. my brother told me his ex-boss saw changes after 6 months,...

I haven't had my wisdom teeth extracted, but a friend of mine did, and her face was bruised for about a week, she could hardly eat or talk, but no much bleeding. I can only suppose slight bleeding to be normal for a little while; until the place heals, it might be a bit sensitive.. take care! :)
