Hey iwas just wondering as I am getting debanded on Monday morning if there is an ensuing change in the speech post debanding. This I am wondering because I have noticed it hard to move my lips well with braces. Anyways wish me luck!

9 more days...!!!

I remember the day that I was like, "29 days!", and now it's 9 days, and I'm sure time will fly, and I'll be sitting in the ortho's chair with infinite anticipation/excitement! When I do get them removed, my parents will have already bought me Crest Strips, floss, an apple, Haribo gummies,...

Well to answer the first question, I will first eat Haribo gummis because they remind me of my hometown in Berlin. Then I will probably have an apple without slicing up the damn thing. Second question, I got them in seventh grade and school has kept me busy, but for a better answer, my teeth were aw...

omfg! 24 days and it's debanding day after 4 years!

Wow, this came as a surprise yet not a surprise cuz I've been battling braces for 4 years. Luckily, however, I haven't had any of those appliances or expanders or strange elastics configurations, just triangles and straight lines (separately, though!). One week before, I get molds, and then a retain...

yeah, well I will have had them on for 4 years (7th grade - 11th grade). And 2 more appts and I'm DONE. D to the O to the NE DONE! My ortho said we just have to close this like 0.5 mm bit gap on my right side, and to wear my triangle elastics 24/7 (yes, even when I eat, but ehhhhh). Every day closer...

yeah, for me, one of our neighbors was like, "so when you getting them braces off?". it may not sound RUDE persay, but the way people sort of say these things as if they feel sorry for you, well I can't really describe it. It's like they ask something just cuz they know you're sensitive ab...

Debanding date set...after 4 years!!!

Okay, so I got my braces on at the end of 7th grade. Now, in 11th grade, when I get them off, it will have been almost 4 years. Whew! Cuz you DON"T want to know how bad my teeth were: lower/upper crowding, canines up in the gums, 4mm overbite, and had to get 4 molars extracted (2 up 2 down). An...

Ortho has lied, is slow, and can't work efficiently!

Hey all, Okay, here's my problem that you can please help me with: My ortho said "end of 2007 most definitely". Guess what? It's not gonna happen, even though my teeth are done, now. The final straw is that I'm going to Rome, Italy for spring break, which for me is mid-end March. I don't h...

Should you relax your mouth with elastics in?

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, but certainly not to braces, as I've had them for 3 years, but the end is definitely near! woot. Anyways, I have a question about elastics and how you should wear them: When you have them in (I have a slight overbite, btw) should you just relax your jaw and let the rubb...
