I will also need a frenectomy. I'm not sure of the exact point during my progress it will need to happen. I only remember my ortho stating I'd have the frenectomy once the space closed some. Thanks for checking in on me. Glad you're feeling better after week one. I've been drinking tons of water too. My lips seem pasted to my braces sometimes.

Monday is my Brace Day (getting Ceramic/Clear)! I'm sure my Ortho will supply me with a kit of some kind but what products do you recommend as a sorta Day 1 (or week 1) survival kit? I'm pretty clueless about all the nifty little things I'll need...truly clueless. I know I won't want to go shopping ...

Kind of a catch 22 huh? Wire always poking and tearing up your cheek but, it's also a sign of progress! I'm so not looking forward to the wires.

I would love to see someone's progress who has the same or similar issue. I have big gap in the front of my upper teeth. There are a few other minor spaces on the lower teeth but the primary reason to get braces for me, is to have the front gap closed. Please reply with a link to your braces story a...
