Before I ring I'm really nervous then when they say September I get disgruntled and don't bother ringing anyone else for a few days. It's the weekend now so I'll try again on monday. The reason I don't want jaw surgery is because of the time of work/uni and it's just a huge operation I'm not prepare...

OK so I still don't have a consultation booked. Been ringin round everywhere and there all saying September or early october. I've been quoted between £49 - £200, I don't know which one to book? I'd be devastated waiting till october to be told I need jaw surgery (not an option for me)

Well I didn't ring today as I found I will need to work full time one of the weeks in July because college is finished so I have free time and one of the girls are going to be on holiday that week. I don't know which week is it until I go in tommorow so I'm waiting till then to ring again for a cons...

How do you even find orthodontists in your area? I know of once place but they're a large generic style company so I think they may be expensive.

Will some Orthos only take you if you've had a referal?

I don't have much of an overjet (couple of mm between top and lower teeth when biting which I think is normal). It's just the overbite where my top teeth practically cover my bottom teeth. I am the same. There are only a couple mm between my front teeth and my bottom teeth when I bite (and I think ...

As far as I understand it, the Herbst can only impact bone structure in a growing patient. In adults, I would imagine it only effects purely dental change (i.e. just moves the teeth) I just did the tounge on the roof thing and my "bite" was a couple of mm, 2 or 3 behind my front teeth but...

What determines whether a Herbst will work or not? I'm 19 and have an overbite/overjet and I plan on booking an apointment with an orthodontist at the end of january (pay day). Since December Ive being doing lots of research on the internet and it all seems doom and gloom saying at 19 I have probabl...

Removable Braces

On the Internet I read a lot about removable braces being quicker but less accurate at moving teeth larger distances and see that they are quite common. I was just wondering if removable braces are used in adults as well as children? They are just a single wire going accros the front teeth as apose ...

not all cases involve a skeletal problem!!! Say for example the bad bite is skeletal is surgery the only option? It seems to me like my week chin apearance is because of my overjet making it look like my upper jaw is further forward than it is. Overjet are corrected with braces and sometimes extrac...
