Discoloration
I just got my braces off yesterday and noticed my front teeth seem dark about midway down. I'm really hoping that these Crest Premium white strips will get rid of it. Also, there are two little white lines on the bottom of one of my front teeth. It's not leaching from plaque formation, but it almost...

me too
I too had the exact same thing happen. I just got my braces off yesterday and was alittle shocked by the black triangles. My ortho did do a little sanding on them, but said he couldn't completely fix the gap without causing some problem to my gums. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that some of it will...

Where was this invention 2 years ago?
I would have loved this thing had I know of it's existence when I first got braced. It's a cover for your brackets to help the abrasion caused by the braces.

Most orthos can give you a little bumper to put on the bottom teeth so you don't hit the bracket accidentally and knock it off. As far as the rest of the teeth not touching, welcome to the wonderful world of braces! It's so hard to try and explain that to someone who has never been braced. It doesn'...

I had a clenching problem too, TMJ the whole nine. I'va had my braces on now for about 27 months. I haven't clenched the whole time I've been braced that I can recall. Braces seem pretty drastic if you only have two teeth that are off a bit? Have you looked into veneers? I'm not an ortho though, you...

I thought my teeth were proportioned fine until I had my braces on for a year and a half or so. I've had slenderizing/filing done at least three times on different parts of my mouth. It started out that my front tooth was longer than the other and it had to be filed down. I also have teeth that are ...

I kind of have the same issue. I still have an overbite and will be getting my braces off no later than December I'd say. Did your ortho mention anything about surgery to break your jaw before you got braced? The reason I ask is because mine did. In order to completely fix my overbite I would need m...

expander
Check the 'Ask the Doc' forum. I'm sure one of the orthos who help with this site addressed this question a while back. I think he said that your jaw does not expand as an adult, only the teeth can be moved not the bone structure. I had to wear expanders for 9 months on top and bottom but I didn't h...

thanks
I appreciate your reply. I just went for an appointment on the 18th of last week. I got a power chain on the top to correct a small gap that was developing, and more bends in the lower wire. I also had four lower teeth filed manually. Total nightmare, and one of the worst experiences I have ever had...

Reposting, never got a reply
I am reposting this I never got a response the first time... The first question I have is regarding a band on my upper right second molar. It popped off and my ortho made the decision to leave it off. I only have at most 12 weeks before the top braces are removed, so I'm guessing he did this since i...

I didn't have any adjustments made to mine. I had a small spring inside that gradually widened itself until it had reached it's limit. I know they do make some where you have to turn it yourself to widen it. So, yes your treatment may go much faster. I know what you mean about it being a pain and th...

Ugh!!! I thought what I had to wear was bad, that appliance looks like a torture device!! Do you have to wear it on top and bottom? Yeah, mine made the roof and bottom of my mouth wider, you were right. I bet it was a couple of months or so before I really noticed that my bite was getting better. Fr...
