It really depends on how old you are. Also there is a lot of debate on whether pulling teeth out can change the shape of your face and the growth of the bones in there. There seems to be atleast agreement that it could affect the shape of the soft tissue (atleast around your mouth area). WHether thi...

i found running to take longer to be able to get into than lifting. As i said i been lifting, climbing and more recently swimming, but I still feel wierd when i run, the up and down jolting is quite uncomfortable and its more than 4 weeks post my surgery. I still cant play soccer because of it.

Yeh, you might want to get some second opinions about this in relation to non-surgical expansion. From what I have read, the most optimistic (and not in the mainstream) say that you can get none surgical expansion in males upto the age of 22-24 (and even then not in all cases). It is younger for fem...

hey, i am half way through my expansion period (1 month total). I am just afraid that for what whatever reason (incisions into my jaw not being deep enough, etc etc) that I am getting tooth movement + bending of the expander arms attached to my teeth, instead of jaw expansion.

You are right, I am only getting a 6mm expansion. I guess i should be happy that i am not getting much of a gap. I just hope that I am not going through all this for only a minimal change in my mouth and jaw. I had teeth pulled out (unnecessarily) when i got braces when i was younger. This expansion...
