I'm in Mississippi. My braces are $5250. Insurance will pay around 1100 down the road. My initial dp was 1020, and my monthly payments are $170 for 24 months.

OK, maybe not 10 feet. But I didn't realize how far out my lips were going to sit after the braces. If anybody had this issue, how long before your teeth "moved back" and you could hold your mouth normally again?

Thanks for your support! I'm recuperating from the extractions and doing OK. The worst part is that I can't eat...but that's good news for my waistline. I can't wait to get these spacers out!!!

I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted a couple of months ago and it was THE WORST pain I'd ever felt. Even with that, I didn't have a dry socket. My OS said, if you have a dry socket, you'll know. Your teeth don't look that bad, I hope you're not really self-conscious. Mine are horrible I think braces could straighten them out though. You should get a consult.

I don't have my braces on yet, but in looking at pictures, alot of people show results at like 6 weeks. I guess we just have to take pictures and compare that way.

I'm 28 and will be getting braces in 8 days. I go in tomorrow (1/7) for spacers, get 4 teeth extracted on Wednesday, then get braces on the 14th. I must admit, I'm scared. I didn't realize how much drama there is in getting braces!!
