Well done so far Jgrrl22...! I got mine on the day before you and my cheeks are in shreds. the wax has been a lifesaver but I dread to think how much of it is in my belly now as it keeps 'dissappearing'!! I won't be using it unless I have to but it'll be in my handbag at ALL times just in case.. :lol:

Hi Mabelle, you'll be grand! 10 months will fly!

I have the same issue with smiling. When I do a beam smile I notice that I turn my head away from the person I'm with - as if I subonsciously don't want anyone to see the full brace or, god forbid, some trapped food!! :oops:

I really need to get used to drinking water - I know it sounds silly but I don't drink a lot of water, never have (weird, I know).... I was in a meeting today doing lots or talking and all of a sudden my mouth seized, all trace of saliva had diappeared, and my teeth/brackets fused with my inner mout...

It's been 5 days and I've been through the mill! I got nothing cept a small packet of wax strips and a lecture about what not to eat (supported by a hand-out in case I had a bout of amnesia on the way home) :tingrin:

Can I drink red wine with braces?

I know this is a really superficial question but I just got braces on 5 days ago and have not drank my favourite drink because I red somewhere that red wine will stain part of m teeth (behind the brace??) that I won't be able to clean... seeing a I'll have them on for 2 years I don't fancy uncoverin...
