I never really thought about this until you mentioned it....now that you have I have realized they don't touch....hopefully that will change....once the brackets come off---they seem HUGE to me lately

My lip stuck on my upper braces...RRRIIPPPPPP! Was not a pleasant feeling...and the look of my lips was terrifying after that!...ALWAYS , always keep those lips covered with chap stick of some sort!

Been in braces for awhile now...I am used to the "in and out" pains...I am used to painful adjustments...wires all over....etc! Had my last adjustment on October 17th....got a new wire and elastics...top and bottom I have felt the normal pains....no biggie--No Pain , No Gain! :lol: My elas...

I have the cordless, rechargable waterpik.......... Had it for quite some time now and its still working great....cost me $24, well worth it! I definetly have gotten my monies worth, and then some. Also love it because it takes up much less space in the bathroom than the larger ones....which is anot...

"ditto" to Dougs comments....I just got elastics on the 17th...front to back. I am finally feeling much better....at first it seemed quite dreadful!! Just in the past 3 days I have been waking up with little sores....they seem like different sores...especially since the sore is gone by aft...

My hubby has seen the major improvement in my teeth, and adores it......... He just made the descision last week to be braced at 34 yrs old to correct the gap in between his front teeth.....so another man to be braced :) just thought I'd share.........really excited for him! :D ....since he at first...

Invest in a "WaterPik".........when I couldn't get floss in between certain teeth--because of the bands--I asked my ortho for a easier way out........
My waterpik is my alternative to flossing.....Good Luck!

Hang in there............in about a week you won't feel this way....your cheeks will get to used to this, ...Wax is there for a reason, so use it all ya want....once the initial pain goes away in your gums, everything else gets much easier You didn't make a mistake..........just remember....No pain,...

My 'fangs' were QUITE noticable before being braced...and I was also blessed with severe crowding too... Since being braced, my 'fangs' are much less noticable...even to me...and that was a huge issue for me....didn't like those 'fangs'!! not sure how I will truly feel about them until this treatmen...
