At first I thought it was an abscess and i was very scared, but its gone away now for the most part. My ortho tol...

I look like a rabbit! - after extractions and pull back
I had 4 teeth extracted and now my teeth look like they are pulled back too far. The top bite is in a diagonal going back and my ortho says its because there is so much pressure pulling the teeth back now but it will alleviate and the teeth will then be parallel to the rest of my face. Has anyone el...

Got my TADs in
Yesterday I got my TADs in. Its not so bad. Yesterday i was pretty drugged up on Darvocet but i think most of the pain was from the gang tie and powerchains that were hooked to the tads to pull my upper overjet back. My jaws hurt a little but i can deal wtih it. My tongue is not raw (yet, i suppose)...

Sam - The first few days are really difficult. When I got my iBraces applied i talked only when necessary after I realized that too much talking was what made my tongue raw. HERE IS MY ADVICE ON PAIN: Talk as much as you would normally, UNTIL you start to notice the sores or pain....then let your to...

TADS along with extractions?
I had 4 extractions. Two up top and two at bottom in order to correct my overbite. I have read that several people have TADs, however it doesnt seem like they had them along with extractions. WHat is your advice on this? Should I just not request TADS, since i heard they are hard to deal with, and j...

Thank you for your insight. I don't like the thought of the TADs falling out...it seems like they should be pretty reliable espc given what they are for. If they wiggle out, I wonder how much progress is lost as a result of them being ineffective anchors up until the point they are loosening and fal...

Re: ibraces day 7 - jaw discomfort
I cannot remember my first week enough to relay in detail, however...i remember the first month oh so well and it was TOUGH to say the least. I really did doubt my reasons for doing all this because I was in pain, my mouth felt small and my tongue felt too big to have linguals. Then after I got extr...
