My attachments were removed at my last visit, when I completed my last tray. I was told I only had to wear the retainer at night. I have found that I much prefer wearing my last invisalign tray to the wire retainer I received! My ortho told me I could wear either one.

Went to the ortho this morning. He agreed that the bottoms were leaning a bit, but he just sanded them down a little so they were all level and you really can't tell at all now. So after 33 U/L I'm finally done. Woo hoo! They fitted me for a retainer and said I only have to wear my last set and the ...

Most days I have my aligners in for 21-22 hours, but probably once a week or so I will leave them out for 4 or 5 hours while I'm out to dinner or with friends. I left them out for 8 hours one day when I was on a float trip and forgot to put them back in before we took off. I have also left them out ...

Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology. It's also called IPR? They used a power tool that spins and put a little bit of space between each of the teeth. They don't lean too bad, but enough that I can see they are not standing straight up.

Leaning

Well I just switched to 33/33 a couple of days ago. Actually, I have 33 upper and 36 lower, but the ortho told me that the 3 additional aligners are for overcorrection and I may not need them. I am extremely happy with my results and can't wait to get my attachments off at my next appointment on 6/2...

I am on aligner no. 28 of 33/36. A couple of weeks ago, I was informed by my ortho that the last 3 sets of aligners (34-36) for my bottoms are considered overcorrection and they told me I may not need them if all is well when I'm finished with set 33. This was exciting news to me - that I may be don...

I think it's really gross to brush & spit in the kitchen sink. Especially a semi-public one. In my opinion, and probably the opionion of most of your co-workers, you should do your brushing in the bathroom.

Mine took 6 weeks. However, I think the ortho may have had them a week or so before my appointment.

I would call and ask for sure. They may be sitting in the ortho's office and no one has bothered to call you about them yet.

If you Google "Saturday Night Live Clear Rite" a bunch of other links to it come up. Maybe one of those will work for you.

SNL Skit

Did anyone catch the Saturday Night Live skit last weekend about "Clear Rite?" It was funny, but also made me feel really self conscious about these things! Oh well, I guess we have to be able to laugh at ourselves a little bit. Can't take this too seriously. Here's a link to view i...

Most of the friends and family I discussed it with thought my teeth looked fine and I should not be spending my money so foolishly. I agree that I didn't need the extra debt, but now that I'm on 17/36, I can definitely see the changes and it's exciting! For the first time in my life, the one upper c...

Personally, I prefer to take them out for the "intimate" moments. It's usually not more than 10 minutes anyway! lol

What is a "black triangle?"

I've had my impressions and will be getting my Invisaligns on about March 18 - so I haven't started yet and I'm not familiar with some of the terminology.
