Thanks for replying. When I first got the spacers in between my teeth I didnt/couldn't eat for 3 days so I'm kinda hardened by that.

My only concern is that I hsouldn't be out of my mental state and what not - I might be tired but I am taking the day off from work.

Went in expecting to be in a world of pain again like the first time. Cheer up. I have heard after a while it gets much better to a point where you have little to no lisp.

I got my upper palette expander and I sound like daffy duck and I cant wait to get back to my normal speech patterns.

It will get better - just keep talking a lot with people you know.

I actually am getting better in talking. The lisp is slowing going away - but if I have to talk a lot then its drool city and the lisp comes back in a much heavier dose.
