I have the Inspire Ice and when they were first put on, I had "pearl". They were great. Then, I had an audition and wanted my braces to be as unnoticeable as possible, so I had clear put on....I will NEVER do that again. I had the dingiest smile after just a couple days. I am back to pearl...

I had that, too, and asked him to take a look at it. He buffed something down or whatever, to where my molars actually touch each other every once in a while! :)

Biotene makes some mouth drops that help with dry mouth, as well as their dry mouth toothpaste. Good luck!

My teeth are pretty small. My sides look like canines because they are rotated. I am going to have a little bonding done when I am done with ortho treatment to round out the look a bit.

mashed potatoes and gravy!!!!! That will definitely help keep your nutrition and weight up, plus it doesn't need to be chewed and can be made in an instant. I'm making black bean soup for myself today. I think for me it's less about pain and more about, "oh, is this food REALLY worth the effort...

Yeah, today is my 5th day. I hadn't thought of vodka! I will give it a couple more days, but then that's it. I don't have crossbite problems and he didn't say anything about tipping a molar, so maybe those puppies can come off! Question: I have rather large fillings in my lower molars; I am as...

Yeah, now that I'm being bothered by 3 of them (the left upper I like to play with---go figure), I'm going to have to call him. I guess I never really thought about the points you all brought up: 1, I'm the customer and 2, he really doesn't want me to be uncomfortable. My dad is a doctor and I work ...

yeah, I like my ortho, too, but he said, "Well, it's pretty flush against the band already". I don't want to become a high maintenance patient, but I cannot have my tongue ripped apart. Hell to the no!

Mazdagirl, I am happy for you! I wish you luck with all your "dental adventures" coming up, but I am so happy for you that you got your brackets off. Bite into a piece of really crusty bread for me, would ya?

He did try to buff them down with what I thought was a dental drill and then fold the remainder flush with my tooth, but that's just not (pardon the pun) cutting it. So, that's where elastics go? If he has already bent them flush, is he probably not intending to use them?

Cleats from Hell...

I would be almost perfectly fine with my braces if the cleats on my bands were not trying to kill me slowly. My left lower and right upper cleats have been drilled/hammered down and that jagged edge is still bugging the hell out of me. I just can't imagine that I'm going to have to wax that every si...

I'd bring any documentation you have from your ER visit last night. In addition, I'd say as calmly as possible, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I need to have these brackets removed today. I have dental procedures and surgery to schedule and I do not want my brackets to impede them, nor d...

I needed to not underestimate my waterpik in a totally different way----I shot water all over the bathroom. It is NOT like riding a bike, where you'll always know how to do it! I got the Ultra and I'm very excited about the many things it can do, especially pressure washing my entire bathroom....
