I find cold air and cold drinks painful too. And I am drinking hot tea with a straw so it doesn't stain the clear braces on top. I miss sipping my hot tea, so I am drinking hot water.... and using a lot of straws. The oold wash was painful when the brackets went on, more painful than the metal band...
