Those little spaces that are created in between the lateral incisors and the canines for the multi-segmental LeFort cuts, how long, on average, does it typically take for orthodontist to close them again after surgery?

Braces
As Charlsie142 pointed out. You don't need to have braces before. Some of us have because orthdontists that have treated us in the past tried to correct problems with just braces. If the issues are skeletal, braces can't correct them.

That is interesting Arvensis. I have read mostly about upper lip getting thinner with advancement not other way around. There must be some reason for different results. I wonder if OS might be using some type of different technique. I think the name of stitch is YV not YX. Just learning about this.
