Re: Is this right - Gunson/Arnett

I had double jaw surgery with Gunson, one night in the hospital. My surgical fees were around $75k because of the extensive bone grafting I had to have done. My hospital fees were around $80k for one night. All my hospital fees were covered by my insurance. About $14k of my surgery was covered. Surg...

Re: Is this right - Gunson/Arnett

... have a coronary when I first opened the bill. The surgery is billed separately and has to be paid in full before the surgery. You can talk with arnett's insurance people - they know pretty well what most insurances will pay and not pay. The biggest expense for most people is the surgeon's fees ...

Re: Is this right - Gunson/Arnett

My surgeon's fees were 80k I think for a redo surgery with Arnett. I'd have to look at my bill for the exact number. Insurance (anthem of CA) covered 18k. Hospital fees for 2 days were 106k. Insurance covered all of it. I think anesthesia was like 4k ...

Re: Is this right - Gunson/Arnett

There are several Gunson/Arnett patients on here, so hopefully one will chime in with specifics. But, from what I understand, $50K is usually their SURGICAL FEES. The $50K price tag for hospital, anesthesia, and everything combined seems ...

Is this right - Gunson/Arnett

I finished the consult with Arnett/Gunson and also a local orthodonist with a history of working with them. The fee for the surgery is ~50k including hospital, hotel, etc. It might be less, but that is the most it would be. The orthodontic ...

Re: Surgeries with Arnett/Gunson Anyone?

Hi there,
I'm a mama of a current m.mouth and she/we are planning double jaw surgery for her with Dr. Arnett/Gunson in Santa Barbara. Anyone still out there and available for questions regarding the surgery and your results with them? Thank you so much. :-1

Re: Dr. Arnett/Gunson appointment - casts of teeth?

Did what you said cvn, called a local dentist and had them do it for me. Cost about 100 bucks but I'm glad I got that taken care of. Thanks everyone again for your input.

Good to know, how much did it cost?
It's been a while - I want to say like $60 plus the doctor's time? The guy was really nice about it once I explained what it was for.

Re: Dr. Arnett/Gunson appointment - casts of teeth?

The surgeon's office should be able to do them for you. Call and tell them about your situation so they can do the molds ahead of time. My OS did dozens of them for me before my surgery (I had a really wierd bite that they have to keep shaving the molds down and making new ones to see how my jaws wo...

Re: Dr. Arnett/Gunson appointment - casts of teeth?

I know that, on occasion, they have done models at their office for other reasons. Maybe you could ask to come in a day early to have them done there...or maybe your dentist can do them?

Re: Dr. Arnett/Gunson appointment - casts of teeth?

I would call the office and ask them what their expectations are. I bet most of their patients are undergoing orthodontics and can easily get molds from their orthos.....I am quite sure the office can tell you what to do. good luck!
