Re: Has anyone done jaw surgery to correct failed othodontic

I have heard good things about Arnett/Gunson. Do both of you live in the area, or are you flying out there for consolations/surgery? Just about anywhere you go online looking at jaw surgery people talk about them. There's got to be other ...

Arnett and Gunson come to mind when it comes to aesthetic jaw surgeons, but it's unlikely insurance would cover it and they are quite expensive from ...

... really bad chapped lips from the mouthbreathing. Anyway, are there any surgeons out there who help more "subtle" patients? By the way Arnett & Gunson are out of my price range. :( Also anyone out there similar to me? Can't close your lips, but your bite is fine? What procedure ...

Braces go on this week, here we go!

... off this procedure for over a decade, I'm finally getting braces this week in preparation for a dual-jaw surgery which will most likely by done by Arnett in a few months time. I've been visiting orthodontists for as long as I can remember and the work that all of them have done has been minimal ...

... surgeon. I'm so sorry insurance doesn't cover a re-do - I guess since technically your bite is OK, they can say you don't 'need' it. I get that Arnett and Gunson are too expensive. I'm going with them and it's killing me completely financially! However, I really encourage you to travel for some ...

Re: Trouble coping with bad surgery result

... know i am not crazy. My orthodontist sees it, his assistants see it, my mom sees it. Same with my fiance, friends, and co-workers. I cannot afford Arnett/Gunson. I would have gladly paid out of pocket back home but I cannot seem to get any docs to take my case. I have consulted with a few who said ...

Arnett and Gunson in Santa Barbara are known for this but are expensive - I'm not sure if insurance covers repeat surgeries. There are other great surgeons ...

Re: How do people come up with the money (just curious)?

I just scheduled an appointment with Gunson next month. From what I've heard, the prices with Arnett and Gunson are upwards of 80-100k? I'm still going to do the consult. But at that price, I'm not sure how anyone could pay for this procedure without a lot of insurance ...
