Rubberbands with Top Lingual and Bottom Ceramic
I recently got rubberbands put on my linguals to fix my overbite. I have top linguals and bottom ceramics. After several weeks, I notice that my bottom teeth are moving inwards due to the rubberbands. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? Anyone else with a similar experience can please explain to me if I might be doing something wrong? Thank You

Will do, thanks for replyingMeryaten wrote:I'd not say that it's anything you're doing wrong. It seems as if these elastics, running as they do from the lingual side of the uppers to the labial side of the lowers, are acting in effect like cross-bite elastics
If I were you, I'd give your ortho a call and let them know what's going on and that you're concerned.
I'm sure you're not doing anything wrong, but as meryaten says do check with your ortho.
I did have a problem with one lower premolar that rolled inwards just a bit too much. This tooth was uprighted by placing a lingual button on the inside surface from which an elastic was hooked to the outside of an upper tooth.
