Wow I cant believe people with non-lingual braces are still posting on this thread and contradicting what lingual users have to say. Don't you realise that people will use this to help them decide on braces? If you don't have llinguals don't comment they are totally different. I just feel a tad sorry for all those ladies that think great I can have invisible braces and then realise oh oops now I cant perform oral sex!! Let me explian for you girls again its NOT the brackets that will hurt its the wires at the back and the last bracket at the very back teeth! Its kinda like a fishing hook, put it in, ok, but now pull it out oooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

Use the dental wax and the problem disappears.

My husband has been a real trooper throughout my treatment. I have regular metal braces with 4 metal bands that have lingual brackets. The bands have been much worse than the braces. My tongue is tore up and it is at times hard to speak clearly. As far as oral sex goes on 2 occasions i have "nicked" him and he has taken it very well, and joked about it afterwards. I try to be careful but it is difficult.

One alternative is to find a guard similar to a mouthguard I think much smaller though if you are scared that you will hurt your man. I'm hoping that guys aren't buying these guards as they don't need them for females, unless they are using them for guys  lets not go there!
Lets be honest here if you have lingual braces and want to have oral sex you would obviously be very careful and be very straight on so no angles basically. Just take it at your own pace and relax no biggie people. Also something a little more graphic sorry  teeth don't really become involved unless she takes it deep. Sorry but it is true

What's funny about this thread is that 90% of the advice seems to be from girlfriends not wives.

Hi. I'm new to this board and wanted to say that I am going to be getting braces just on my lower teeth and have been given the option of regular clear braces or linguals. I want to consider how each will affect giving oral sex.

For those who have posted about the end bracket being the issue ... is that on the top or the bottom? Will I have the same issue if I only have them on the bottom? Also, do any of these issues exist at all with regular braces.

I would imagine that linguals would pose a potential problem for oral sex, while regular braces might pose a potential problem for kissing ... keeping in mind, of course, that teeth should be kept out of the equation in both instances ... but just wondering if either type of braces made that more difficult than the other.

Thanks for your help!

Sooo... after having my linguals for 6 months, I finally gave my bf oral sex. The braces didn't bother him at all!!!

However.... neither of us remembered my impacted canine that is currently being pulled down from the roof of my mouth......

The tooth is incredibly sharp and has a wire roped around it... let's just say he probably won't be asking for oral sex anytime soon...

Opps!
