lower lingual braces totally visible

i can not stand tha fact that EVERYBODY can see them,the tip of each brace is over the level of my teeth and they look like little horns............, i'm starting to think lower ceramic braces would have been a better choice
has anyone got this problem to?

I have upper lingual and ceramic and nobody can see them, but they are not as confortable as linguals.
