Hi!
My teeth hurt so much after I had my 3 rd adj. yesterday!!! It feels like when I got the braces, as I can`t even eat properly and there is a constant pressure on all of my teeth.... Well I hope this means movement!!!
If you want to see photos, I have a blog:
http://victoriaschoice.blogspot.com/
I hope you can see changes from the first photos....
And, does anybody have any suggestions for lunch meals? I usually eat bread (hurts to much now...). Have any suggestions other than yougurt?
Thank you on beforehand

Yes, there is definitely change there.
I usually pack my own lunches to take to work. Today I made couscous and mixed in some pine nuts, chopped sage (from the garden) and capers into it. You could substitute shaved almonds for the pine nuts, or eliminate them entirely. Anyway, couscous is really easy to eat. An alternative is pasta with the sauce of your choice. Also easy on the mouth.

Hey Victoria...
Your teeth are looking great. Thanks for this post, I had the exact same experience with my 3rd adjustment which I had on Monday and I thought I was going insane. Everything hurts when I eat (I was fine for months prior to this) and I have new sores. NOt to mention the speech impediment which is coming back. Please tell me your situation improved>??!! Hope all is well!!

Hi! Thanks for all your replies!!
To Katia2298, it stopped hurting after about 4 days or something like that, and then it came back for a couple of days in between. But I have seen alot of change, which is always nice
And for the speech impediment, it was really terrible when everything was so painfull, but it very soon was back to normal
Hope you are doing better!
Oh, and I believe I have my six month anniversery round about now!!!!

Hi Victoria, I had a quick look at your blog! Thanks.. sorry im actually not replying to your initial post but I am writing about linguals/ceramics. I had 4 extractions out last week and tomorrow morning i am getting linguals top and ceramic bottom !! Oh Victoria please give me some advice!! I am a teacher and I have to work the very next day (and the days after that). Im a bit worried about the ceramic bottoms (are they very visible? - how long is a piece of string..) and speech issues. I have an 'open bite' and my teeth are 'flaired'. My teeth are fairly straight up top anyway, but the bite is the issue!!
anyway advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Interesting; I hope the pain ceases soon; I am so fascinated by linguals; apart from the obvious, why did you get them?
I'm even more fascinated that they do work; must be a pain to get them in!

The "obvious" is probably the single most important factor in why most of us got them. Other than that, linguals are brackets like the rest of them.
They work the same way that regular brackets do.
My linguals came in 3-4 "trays" that were moulded to fit my teeth. The trays were placed over my teeth and pressure applied to make the brackets stick to the inner surface of each tooth (which had been prepped beforehand in the same way that they prep teeth for labially bonded brackets). I have to say that when they removed the trays it felt like my teeth were coming out with them! Other than that, it was no big drama to get them on.

No, the ceramics were bonded one at a time.
