I hate em...
I'm so sick of em...
I haven't seen improvement in months and it seems like nothing is working in there...
My wires keep breaking, sticking out, getting loose
Brackets keep falling off...
I still got 1 tooth which is not attached to the wire
I still got 1 baby tooth i have to extract...
My finish line seems miles away..
Nothing is going as planned..
I can't even floss properly and washing my teeth seems such a hassle...
And i havent eaten a burger or anything for that matter like a normal human being in over 9 months...
I'm sick of em...
SO REGRET not doing this at a younger age.....

Uh oh....

I don't exactly love them
I'd like them to be gone
Things are improving, but very slowly
I endured a pokey wire for 3 weeks because I was out the country and it gave me hell
I haven't had a bracket fall off in ages (knocks wood)
All teeth that are supposed to be are attached to the wire
Thank goodness I lost all my baby teeth when I was supposed to
The finish line is getting closer, but I will run overtime
I think things are going as planned...
I can floss fine but spend an inordinate amount of time cleaning my teeth, like now because I've just scoffed two wraps and there's bread particle stuck everywhere
I'm not a big burger eater, but I can bite down into a breadroll, so no dramas there
I absolutely DO NOT regret having done this at a younger age. Those were the days of fully banded teeth and associated torture devices. I'm not sorry I missed that.

Blah Blah, I think it's time to vent your feelings to your ortho.

What is your evidence for not being on track?

Maybe you should have done Wilkodontics and let them tinker with the ligaments around your teeth every week.

Blah Blah lives in Aussie, miss smiley. Wilckodontics is not widely available here.

Well since it is done in a shorter time, it would seem that blah blah would want to go out of his/her way to get things done. Not saying that they can't complain, but blah blah could aslo say that this has been a waste of time for him/her self instead of deterring others. Though Wilkodontics is not widely available in Oz, the fact that it is available still stands. It seems as thought blah blah is impatient and possibly could have avoided such a long brace sentence with more work through Wilkodontics. That's just my take, I'm not saying anyone is wrong and that we can't have our complaints. I wanted to point out the fact, it was possible.

There do not appear to be any accredited Wilckodontics practitioners in Sydney, which is where BB lives. The nearest is several hundred kms away.

I think we're flogging a dead horse here. Best to move on.

Lionfish- Regardless how far, there is a choice, that's all I was saying.

Mer - I'm just pointing out that there are choices, people make different ones for their own reasons. Blah Blah wanted to share that he/she does not think that ortho is worth the time and effort. I just wanted to share that Blah blah could have gone an alternate route, traveling umpteen miles to have Wilkodontics or not continuing treament for such a horrible experience he/she is going through. Blah blah has chosen a route and stuck with it, hopefully understands that this is not an easy journey for everyone but each will have their own journey. We shouldn't try to scare people into not doing something just beacuse they don't like it. That's much like a being a school yard bully. I'm also going into Blah blah's posting on another thread, but just give facts and let someone make decisions for themself. Blah blah can come here and release whatever is upsetting him/her. Blah blah can just say that it is a choice they might have made differently.

But indeed, there are alternatives, such as having them removed would be if they are so much hassle. I don't think that is going beyond the box. Anyhow, I guess this is just beating a dead horse.

As the Rodney Johns >Mark CHOPPER Reid says, 'toughen the fu#k up.'
They must be very annoying for you and it seems that you are having no progress and you have got them in your mouth for nothing as they're not doing anything but cause infliction. A suggestion would be to stick with them toughen it out and think about the end result. Don't forget you are getting your teeth/bite fixed without anyone knowing with specialised orthodontic training which is expensive so I would suggest you don't take them for granted because I am sure there would be heaps of people out there with normal braces who would kill for linguals :!: You can be emotional and all though remember the body does not control the mind... the mind controls the body. So my point is "use your mind" to get over your downerness lol
