Linguals in Los Angeles?

Hi, everyone.

Has anyone here experienced linguals in the Los Angeles area and, if so, would you mind advising on your provider (either good or bad!)

One of the unfortunate things about this city is that health and oral care providers often attend a weekend seminar on a procedure and then start billing themselves as "premier" service providers -- you see some seriously scary results out here on patients whose pratictioners were not qualified (yet somehow continue to practice). Since this will be my 2nd attempt at braces (high school, awful metal brackets, memories that still gives me nightmares!), I'd like to do it right and I'd like to be sure the ortho I select knows what he or she is doing.

I did a "search" on "Los Angeles" but did not find a link so apologies if this has already been addressed. Thanks very much to anyone who has info.

Right. I was being facetious with my weekend seminar comment. I know that orthos need special training beyond dental school but, since they can still do a horrendous job or have a dreadful chairside manner, I thought maybe someone who's actually been on the receiving end of linguals placed by an LA ortho might have some recs. I prefer that to an anon name, which leads to some provider's glossy Web site that highlights all the wonders without mentioning some of the potential woes.

hello there
I live in orange county, san clemente. I found a great ortho through website Lingualcare.org. His name is Dr. William Brownson. I like the fact that one of his lingual patients is his own wife.
Good luck in finding a great ortho as well

Has your general dentist been able to suggest anyone?
Unfortunately, she is not a fan of linguals. She's a great DDS and I've been going to her for years; I respect her that she doesn't like the method but this time I'm not going to follow her advice.

Great suggestion to click over -- happily, one of the early names that had been passed on to me is there. Thanks!

I have iBraces and have had them since March 2008. I go to Dr. Atoosa Nikaeen. You can find her website at http://www.invisibraces.com/

Dr. Nikaeen is really nice and seems to treat quite a few adult patients (since there are so many in the other chairs when i go for my appointments).

She's located at Wilshire and the street just west of sepulveda, on the border of santa monica.

If you have more questions feel free to ask!
