pulled out the wire

I was brushing between the front top teeth and pulled out the wire. It came out of the last two braces and is bent in front and sticking out downwards. The awful thing is that my dentist is on vacation for the next two weeks, and she is not answering the emergency number. I was trying to find another doctor, but the doctor search doesn't work on the lingualtechnik website. I am panicked, what should I do???

If you can remove all the o-rings on all the brackets you'll be able to completely remove the wire. I had to do this once when I was out of the country and two of my brackets came off.

Hi Volare, thanks for your reply. What are o-rings and how do I remove them?

I guess it depends what type of linguals you have. I have iBraces. My o-rings are dark grey rubber. They are attached to the brackets and hold the wire on. Without the o-rings, your wire wouldn't stay attached to the bracket. The exception is the rear-most brackets which have a little channel for the wire to go into and thus have no o-ring.
