I have lingual braces, now only on my upper jaw, but in two days on my lower jaw as well. I am really self-concious, and I feel that my teeth are quite yellow in addition to the crookedness and my severe overbite. I feel that having them whitened could be an improvement in my looks (a quite moderate, but very welcome improvement), and I wonder if anyone has bleeched their teeth while being braced. I feel extremely self-concious about the whole braces procedure, and any instant improvement, such as white teeth, would really increase my self esteem.
I've read that most people "frost" their result after braces with having their teeth whitened. But hase anyone done this while still in braces? Or if noone has, what's the reason you havent? Any response is dearly appreaciated!

I hope someone answers this too! The #1 thing I dislike about my teeth is the color (antibiotic stains from childhood), and I hate to think that if I go through this procedure, I can't have a thing done to fix it until I am finished! It also makes me wonder if I could have my teeth bonded (to be nice and white and the final desired shape), and then have the braces put on? Something to ask about at the consult I guess.
