White strips and linguals?

I have noticed over the past few years my teeth have got substantially yellower... a combination of smoking and drinking i presume. As I have now stopped smoking I was thinking about doing some home whitening whilst my treatment takes place. Traditional methods such as trays are out of the question really for obvious reasons and treatments such as britesmile are far too pricey.
I was wondering is it possible to use white strips whilst in linguals, has anyone tried it? I think you are meant to fold the strip down over your teeth but I am sure i could cope with just putting it on the front and top, after all the back is not really seen..

YES - whitening is possible with linguals. I've used Crest Whitestrips Pro Effects 10 Day Kit. They are AMAZING, the results are astonishing. I'd never had whitening before and my teeth needed a fresh new look and I didn't want to wait til my teeth were straight so I bought the Whitestrips. The strips only partially cover the back of the teeth anyway, just to secure them on for the 30 mins. GO FOR IT !
Think I bought mine on Amazon or Boots, costs around £30. My teeth / gums are sensitive so I only used one strip per day - took me 20 days instead of the standard 10. This product is safe and effective.

Interesting I've been thinking about whitening my teeth whilst treatment. I can't sit back and wait for another year and a half! Though do you think the teeth might look uneven in colour once the braces come off?

QT - as long as you have linguals you should be fine. You can do one pack now and another pack when your treatment has finished.
I have overcrowding on my front teeth and as treatment progresses (only had uppers on for 1 week!) newly exposed parts of teeth may be a different colour but I'm simply gonna put a couple of strips on to whiten things up if that happens !
