Hi,

One of my upper incisor is not in place. It is inside. I would be really thankfull if someone could tell me weather the lingual that will be fiited will run around the entire upper jaw or just around the croocked teeth.

It depends on what is going on with the reat of your mouth. Normally there is more than one tooth tghat needs to be moved. At the mimimum you would get 6 brackets but more often full arch (if not full upper and lower)

Thanks Drrick for the reply.

For me its only one tooth out of postion.
So if I need 6 brackets only, then the cost should be reduced, No?

Also I think if it is 6 brackets only, it would have lesser initial impact n speech. No? Perticularly when it is the upper jaw?

fee probably will not be reduced (the braces are a VERY SMALL part of what you are paying for) in fact it is often HARDER to treat the case with fewer brackets than more. You are paying for knowledge, chair time, etc. A doctor buddy of mine goes so far as to give the pts their extra brackets that werent used so the pt doesnt feel 'short changed'

Probably be the same spech impact as the brackets will be on the teeth where speech is most effected. The speech impast generally isnt that great. Read outloud for an hour or so after you get them and you usually do just fine.
