For all of you that read my previuous posts here: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=40477
Today I went to the orthodontist to put ceramics on the bottom instead of the linguals I had that weren't getting too far, but in the preceding days (as you may have read I had had the bottom linguals removed) my joys at having the bottom liguals gone, combined with some reassurance from my wife and the fact that so many adults seem to have braces these days, I decided to change my top linguals to ceramics too.
Observations:
1. not so embarrassing because they really are quite invisible.
2. Much more comfortable; THOUGH,
3. The relief of having the top linguals off was nowhere as great as the removal of the bottom ones;
4. maybe its too early or maybe because I've had linguals on for three years, no pain yet!
5. In one afternoon my teeth have straightened out so much.
6. In hindsight should have gone the ceramics route originally.
7. I am VERY self concious and facing the world with mildly visible braces actually forces you out of your shyness which must help in all aspects of life.
Conclusion, ceramics rule even for me a shy shy person. If you must get linguals, which you actually must not necessarily, do only the top.
