Are you sad that you won't get a 'ta-da!' when de-braced?

Are you sad that you won't get a 'ta-da!' when de-braced?

Here's what I mean.

Traditional braces obscure/hide your teeth a bit, right? So it seems like when you finally get your braces taken off, you'll get a Ta-Da! moment when you finally see your new smile for the first time. Sort of like at the end of a makeover show when they spin the person around to face a mirror for the first time, and they see their new clothes/hair/makeup. (I should mention that I LOVE surprises. Well, at least nice ones  )

But, with the linguals, you see your teeth the whole time. So, I'm guessing getting de-braced wouldn't be quite as exciting... relieving and still exciting no doubt, but maybe not quite as climactic?

Any thoughts? I'm still mulling over ceramic uppers vs. linguals. I know this is a silly thing to think about, but I wonder if anyone else has thought about the same thing?

My husband just pointed out (and very wisely, I might add) that maybe this isn't the kind of situation where you want to be surprised. He's a pretty smart guy ;)
