I was quoted $3000 to put 4 TADs in for my existing braces from an oral surgeon in Virginia. Can this possibly be true? I am a senior and not interested in cosmetic dentistry just trying to get my bite back after arthritis in my jaw. I looked at your site and people in 2008/2009 were saying $200-$400 per TAD. The braces were placed in November and were $6500. Any thoughts...should I contact a medical school?

My tads were about $200 per screw, $3000 seems like a lot even.

Mine were abt 1000€ for 4 screws including the fee for the procedure by the surgeon etc.
