Permanent retainer is making me angry! Please help!

#1 Post by Fiatbraces »

I am getting myself so anxious about my permanent retainer, today I looked in mirror and saw this white line on the edge of my permanent retainer, I’m unsure whether this is plaque or a chip in the glue holding the permanent retainer.

If this was a small chip on the edge of the glue should I be worried? Thanks.

I suspect that it is indeed glue, and it's probably not a big deal -- but for your peace of mind, call your ortho and go in for an appointment if necessary. Best of luck to you.

Back when I had a permanent retainer it fell off twice. After the third time I didn't go back, but I wish I had. The glue doesn't last forever, we're all pretty hard on our teeth.
