Braces in San Juan, PR

#1 Post by tandi »

I just came back from vacationing in PR and while there I saw a countless number of adults with braces on. I couldn't believe it. Every time I would meet someone with braces they would give me the biggest smile letting me know they had them too. I really felt comfortable there. I live in NJ and have yet to see another adult with braces outside of my ortho's office. So what's going on with PR? Is it possible that braces are cheaper there? Or some kind of fad?

Lucky!! I hope you had a nice vacation!! I'm not sure why you saw so many people in braces, but I have heard that they are really gaining popularity! I don't believe that, only because I have YET to see an adult, other than myself (obviously), in braces! That must have been soooo cool to have them smile at you. Kind of an unspoken bond. Very cool!

I suppose that it is (maybe?) less expensive there?

I just think it's cool that you received that kind of silent encouragement. Very neat!

That is very cool Tandi. I do that too when I see other adults with braces and I usaully ask the standard :?: s. How long have you had them, how long will you have them, how's it going? And i flash mine too that way they wont think i'm some kinda braces nut :yikes: . I have seen a lot more adults with braces here in TX or maybe its just that I'm now noticing them. Anyway hope you enjoyed your vacation as I'm sure PR is nice and tropical. :D
