Got braced today!

Hi all,
Just got braced two hours ago and my mouth feels weird. I hope I can get through this I don't feel any pressure yet but i Know its coming . This site has been very helpful in preparing me for this journey. My sentence is 2yrs!

vivie- I also got braced today!!! Brace Buddies YEY! you must have read about the salt water rinses...do it! It really helps. I only got the top ones done today. How about you?

Welcome to the braceface club for both of you

Make sure you do your salt water rinses and use your wax.

My mouth felt weird for about a week. It felt sooooo full. My teeth felt weird too. Like I couldn't feel my teeth....only the braces.

Hi Vivie,

Great news that you now have the braces on! I ditto that to everyone else braced today too.

You maybe lucky enough not to feel any pain. I am in my 3rd month and haven't yet had any pain, just a dull ache after my 1st adjustment. I find massaging my gums with my electric toothbrush relieves any minor aches. I recommend the salt water rinses too.

I got braced last tuesday...almost one week!

Warm salt water rinses help so much. And use your dental wax. It will
save your mouth.
This site is wonderful. I was so prepared for my b day I wasn't nervous at all.
Can't wait to see your progress.

Vivie you in pain yet? I had this massive headache until I took and advil. My teeth HURT so bad!!!

Im very excited, getting damon3 braces, at the same time im a little nervous, cos ive got a very public face to face job.

I keep reminding myself this is the beginning of a great smile.....

Hope to see some pics of your progress, which type of braces have you got?

There not that bad at all, I got top and bottom damon 3's on this morning.
who cares what other people think, it will all be worth it in the long run.

texbrace, yeh im actually looking forward to getting my braces, i just think i will be alittle self conscious when i first get them, cos everyone i know will notice straightaway, not that it bothers me, but i know im going to get comments.

Im just exciting about getting a nice smile

hopefully i won't get any canker sores
