Retainer question

How often do you have to visit the ortho once your retainer is fitted ? I'm to be debanded, and get my retainer the same morning. Thanks to all the naked tooth peeps out there

i figure i'm going to post under this -- since i also have a question on the retainer 2...i'm going to get my braces off in one month -- and would like to know how it's going to work -- meaning they haven't taken any molds of my current teeth position- does that mean that I'm NOT going to have the retainer for a while?? and if so..won't the teeth move?? (i'm worry cuz I know my teeth can move in hours <--part of the reason why my treatment time was so short:) )
Any insights would be appreciated!

I've had braces twice -- on taken off twice -- and it's usually the same: Immediately after you get the retainer go back in about 6 weeks, then goes three months, then six months, then a year, then another year...

My ortho said i'll be debanded , have impressions done and sent directly to the lab. I'm to pop back after lunch and the retainers will be done then.Sept 5 is the big day Yahooo.
