Anyway, I've been wondering... how do they remove molar bands? All the cement they use makes me think that the process would be either a) painful or b) labor intensive... or both!
Is the cement dissolved beforehand?
I still have a while to go before mine are removed... but I'm still slightly dreading it.
nope they just pull them off with pliers, and then grind off any excess cement. I had to have my top bands removed because they were attached to a TPA which needed to come out in a hurry.
It didn't hurt, but it felt like my tooth was going to come with it! they have to pull quite hard lol
