Favourite side???

#1 Post by Cor1 »

Hi all, o.k. maybe it is because I have braces and I am taking EXTRA care in my oral hygene................but I have noticed lately that I have a favourite side when brushing.............my right side!!! I find myself constantly wanting to go to that side and stay brushing away...........and oops ya there is another side!!!!

Or maybe it is just me....................but is there anyone else out there that favours a side of their mouth!!

Just some idle curiousity!!!

My dentist noticed years ago that I favored my left side. She said it's always cleaner than the right. (I'm right handed btw)

I'm right-handed, but I think I seem to favor my left more...not sure why that is. It's not even as if I chew on that side more. Lately I've been switching back and forth depending on which side hurts less. I guess it's just one of those thing!

I don't have a favorite in regards to left or right, but I spend more time brushing the inside than the outside of my teeth. It has to do with the crowns I think.

I just asked about the left-handed vs right-handed thing because I'm right handed and it's much easier for me to reach around to do a more thorough cleaning on the left-side of my face. Easier to maneuver the toothbrush, flex the wrist for the full range of ups and downs and cross brushing and circular movements

I'm right handed but I definitely favor my right side more for brushing! I guess that's because "Billy" my formerly impacted bicuspid is on that side! But I tend to favor my left side more when chewing, less problems on that side I guess!

I am right handed and I favor my leftside and I know why! lol
From my two front teeth all the way to my last tooth on my left side is all aligned and so much easier to brush than my right side.

My rightside is also aligned but I am still waiting on 1 lateral incisor to come forward so I have to push the brush a little further in to get that tooth and then use that mini brush to get under the archwire.
I hate doing the bottom because of all the gaps and some teeth are extremely sensitive to even room temp water :(

Yes! I definitely feel like I favour the left side when brushing. (I'm right-handed). I think it's much easier to brush there and get everywhere.

Also, I seem to chew more with my left side... :?

Next time I brush, I'll try starting with my right side and see what happens!
