Front Teeth •Not Falling into Place

So ive had braces over a year now and about 4 months ago i had elastics put on to fix a slight underbite, well that worked amazingly and actually gave me an overbite to an extent.

Well ive had them off for a month or two now and my top and bottom front teeth are about even now when i bite down without stressing my jaw.

Basically i would prefer that i would'nt have to stress my jaw each time i want my teeth to fall into place perfectely. Is there some way i could have the upper and bottom teeth better align..elastics again?, my jaw is getting quite tired because of this :?
