I'm in Aussie. Including records, Xrays, moulds, one extraction, cost is about A$14,000. I have linguals on my uppers and a mix of ceramics and metal on the bottom. The linguals effectively doubled the price of the quote for all metal, but they've been worth it to me.

I was given an estimate of 18 months, half of which has literally flown. Like KK, I never ask how much longer. But when those words come, they are going to be very sweet.

I will be paying approx. $1,800 USD for In Ovation (self lig). (I think the ortho is giving me a break as I am paying for my surgery out of pocket - 20 thousand- and I already have paid another 10 thousand for fixing what my old dentist broke.) Records $85 (had to do this twice), splint therapy $400. This will cover 24 months of treatment - retainers will be another $200 USD

I have full cermaic. Estimated time frame was 18- 24 months (with double jaw surgery after six months). Cost was $4260 for the orthodonics (including molds, x-rays and retainers). The time frame is looking to closer to 18 months at this point. Jaw surgery with 2 days in the hospital was almost $35,000 (insurance handled this---yah!)

Meryaten - prices here in Mexico are lower than in other parts of the world, but he is still a grand lower than other places I checked. I just ran into a friend at the super today (also being treated my the same ortho) and she said she was also surprised at what she was paying. I believe the doctor comes from a wealthy backround and does this for fun:D . He was trained in the USA, is a specialist in treatng jaw problems, and has offices in the USA.

Not a bean.
God bless the National Health Service, and complicated class II malocclusion cases worthy of orthodontic guinea-pig-dom!

There's orthgnathic surgery included in the £0 price tag too.

I'm paying $3400 usd for regular metal braces. Estimated treatment time is 30-36 months  . That price includes records, retainers, a rotadent toothbrush, and follow-up after braces. If the braces come off before 30 months, they will lower the price (I'm not sure by how much - I need to check my contract again).

My extractions were covered by my dental insurance, I paid $10 per tooth removed.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will come off early, so far so good!
Top brackets and spacers on 2/17/06
Molar bands on 3/6/06
Extractions and full braces 3/27/06
Update: 22-24 months total time in braces!

My cost was $4200, including all ceramic self-ligating upper and 6 ceramic lower. The ceramic cost $400 extra, $250 top and $250 bottom.

The funny part is, I have four metal brackets on my lower bicuspids and they are so much smaller and flatter and more comfortable than the ceramics.

I'm regretting not getting all metal. At least people would know you had braces on. The ceramics are not invisible, they look like big white blocks on my teeth, currently connected with a bronze wire. It's a weird look.

I wonder if my ortho would change them out? I know I'd have thrown away $400, but I wouldn't mind as long as he didn't charge me more.

Spacers, Nov. 1; Braced Nov. 8, 2006; Braces off March 26, 2008, just short of 17 months. Glad it's over but the jury is still out on whether the game was worth the candle.

$4,500 (USD) for a full metal mouth including all molds, x-rays, records, retainers, and adjustment visits. However, when my ortho costs are combined with my pre and during braces treatment the cost was/is almost $14,000 (that covers four premolar extractions, four wisdom teeth extrations, having all my old fillings changed to white fillings, gum treatment to keep my gums healthy, Rotadent toothbrush, and all vists). Estimated treatment time is about 30 months.

Mine cost $3300CAD for full ceramics, including retainers. My ortho also offered either a 5% discount or whitening trays for paying everything up front. Records were paid separatety, $175CAD, and the panorex cost nothing as it was covered by our province's medicare system.

Bottom braced February 4, 2005
Tops off July 10, 2006!!!

This is for a 24 month treatment plan with full metal brackets. Retainers, xrays and records are also included. Full ceramics cost an extra $900.

My treatment is in Omani Rial - OR700. That converts to exactly $1820. It includes four extractions, metal braces, retainer after treatment and after my retainer is done another year of follow up treatment. Not too shabby!

My total cost is $5690 not including the $249 records fee. I have ceramic uppers and metal lowers and I also have an expander to widen my upper arch. My treatment time is 17-20 months. All I have to say is thank god for payment plans!! Before I had my consult I thought it would cost maybe $3000 because my teeth didn't look bad at all, just a few spacing issues I wanted fixed. I was surprised to learn all the things that needed to be fixed!! I never knew I had a crossbite! Definitely money well spent though, I love my orthodontist and I can't wait to see the results.

It will cost me between (New Zealand Dollars) $5,700 - $6,300. The initial appointment for xrays, moulds etc cost $250 (NZD) and $90 (NZD) to discuss my treatment plan. Luckilly I only have to pay a deposit of $1,900 and then pay the remainder off over the next 20 months or so (the cost will be finalised at the treatment plan appointment in two weeks).

It's soooo worth every cent!!! :D
