Direct or Indirect
One of the things I've enjoyed reading on the boards is the number of different treatment modalities employed by docs here in the states and abroad...
It has raised a couple of questions in my mind....First, are most of the surgical expansions being done overseas?
and secondly, I haven't seen anyone mention whether their appliances were placed "directly", or one-by-one, or "indirectly" using a tray and doing a quadrant at a time?
Thanks for any input!

One at a time, I think, but I can't even imagine how quadrant by quadrant could be done.
No extractions, no talk about extractions, which is good because I am fond of ALL my teeth, even the rotated ones.

Spacers, Nov. 1; Braced Nov. 8, 2006; Braces off March 26, 2008, just short of 17 months. Glad it's over but the jury is still out on whether the game was worth the candle.
Re: Direct or Indirect
I think I have an idea about how "indirect" method is done. But what's the difference between "directly" and one-by-one? My ortho put the brackets on my teeth one at a time and they are self-ligating.I haven't seen anyone mention whether their appliances were placed "directly", or one-by-one, or "indirectly" using a tray and doing a quadrant at a time?
