Gums repositioning????

#1 Post by CreedAngel81 »

I recently noticed that a couple of my lower front teeth have either moved down to where my gums now cover parts of my teeth that they didn't before. If that even makes sense? It's like some of my teeth have more of my gumline covering them and others look like they normally have. I'm kinda worried that if my gumline ends up staying this way I'll have to have them shaved away in certain areas to look normal. Sorry if this post sounds obsurd... I just noticed it when I flossed and got kinda worried. I wonder if since my ortho repositioned the brackets about a month ago if it has any reasoning as to why this is happening.

I've noticed this too on my front incisor as it has moved down. I imagine it has been stretched a bit and it will settle in time after all there is a lot of repositioning going on. Has to be better than gum recession anyway.
