How long will it take to put on top braces only?

How long will it take to put on top braces only?

I am will be getting braces on my top teeth in 10 days. I have 4 spacers in also and was told that I will need to have molar bands placed around those crowns? Can anyone tell me about how long that will take?

hey!

when i got my top braces placed it only took 30 minutes, but i already had my molar bands on so add 15-20 min. for that. it doesnt hurt to get them on, u just might experience a little discomfort over the next few days. Congrats on starting the journey!

30-40 minutes is about right (That's what it took for me to get my top braces put on). I didn't have pain right away, actually I was surprised how painless it was.

Thanks to all for your info. I just got a call from the orthodontist saying I will need to have the spacer replaced that was taken out when my temp crown was placed. I will also now have another one placed on the other side of it bringing the total to 8 . I am glad I had the weekend to almost eat normal again.

I notice that a lot of people advise to go to the toilet before being braced and use plenty of lip balm. Am I going to the bathroom to put on the lip balm or to keep me from embarassing myself during the procedure :P ?

It was really quick for me . It was no more than 15-20 minutes for me. I think it was that quick because I had several teeth that did not get attatched to the archwire on the first day.



The bottoms took about 30 minutes.
