Life is good, they are OFF!!!!

#1 Post by Kittysopretty »

They feel great, look great but I look sooooo weird!!! I am used to braced me!!

I worried about my retainers for nothing....they bonded a wire the thinness of dental floss to my back teeth. That's it! I talk fine and can't even feel it unless I deliberately run my tongue over it. I pick up my Essex tomorrow for the top teeth but I have to wear them at night only.

I am relieved and happy to be out of braces. :D

BTW, what's flossing going to be like with that bottom retainer?

I ask because one of my bottom molars in particular is a real tartar factory, and I wouldn't mind having an idea of what to expect if I end up with the same kind of retainer.

Cheers!

Congratulations!

I have a LOOOOONG way to go but it's nice to see that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, proverbially speaking.

Thanks for all the well wishes and congratulations!!!

As for flossing, I just have to feed my floss thru my front teeth (with superfloss of course) and it's really easy.

I got my upper Esex the other day and LOVE it!!!!! It is so thin I don't even have a lisp. I have to wear it from "after dinner" til I wake up but I love it so much and love my straight teeth that I pop it in when I get home
