My appointments are every 10 weeks. I have cermaics with wire ties and they have assured me that the wires contiue to do their job during the extended time.

Every 10 weeks or so, only just had first adjustment though! My Ortho always explains that one of the advantages with Damon 3's are the longer time periods between appointments - good for me as ends up being cheaper!

For now, my appts. have been every 7 weeks. I have only had 2 in-between appts., one due to excess wire that the ortho asst. clipped and the other due to a loose band that they replaced. I'm sure the appt. times can vary in the future depending on what my orthodontist is trying to do.

Mine are supposed to be every eight weeks but I haven't made it that far. During my time with braces I have had the following "unscheduled appoinments"

1. Wire clipped and bite plate fitted (I GRIND badly)

2. 6 emergency appointments for loose brackets. One for stupidity, the other becuase they don't stick. Actually at the last emergency regluing I was told some people's enamel doesn't hold the glue as well as others. All the loose brackets were on the same two teeth.

3. Four bite plate related visits. At these visits it has been replaced or built up each time.

I'm hoping I don't see these great people again until March. Nice folks, just tired of visiting.

I wore braces (this time) for 1294 days or 3 years, 6 months and 17 days.
But who's counting?

The plan is every 6-8 weeks although my first adjustment ended up having to be at 10 weeks due to Christmas and other commitments. I was worried this would slow things down but, just as the ortho reassured me, most of the movement I saw was in the 9th and 10th weeks (and plenty of it) - the wire just keeps doing its thing! :D

My ortho likes to see his patients about every 6 weeks as a rule, but some of my appointments have been closer together than that, because of all the extra bits and pieces I've needed to have done.

My first visit was scheduled for nearly 8 weeks from my brace day. Luckily, I have only been for emergency visit once to have a hook poking me adjusted. I made sure to stock up on lots of the good wax : )

6 to 8 weeks are the standard at my ortho. I am only at week 2 and have not had any problems or issues as of yet.
