wow alexa that rocks!

I got my braces last friday and the ortho didn't ask me if i wanted color ligs, he thought it was bad enough for me already to have braces at my age that he assumed i definitely didn't want to have colored ligs.
So now i have the usual metal braces with grey ligs and they make the braces so dark, cloudy, unhappy...

I can't wait till first adjustment to get something lighter, more colorfull!

Metallic green for St. Pattys Day ( although it looks more bluish)

I'm jazzed about the cool colors shared in this thread.
I hope my ortho lets me pick something other than clear.
The clear are staining pale yellow from mustard. It annoys me because I did not want clear! :(

Hot off the presses! Royal blue and purple. I was having a horrible time deciding if I was just going to do top one color and bottom the other color, or if I was going to be brave and alternate... But the ortho solved that dilemma with powerchains!

I just got powerchains for the first time, although I'm not sure why. :? I don't really have any gaps. I guess it's just to keep any from forming.
I was going to do every other bracket with the blue and green, but with the powerchains I had to do top and bottom.

I'll be graduating in May from Longwood Univ. :D The school colors are blue and grey/silver and my class color is green. The class color goes by whether you graduate in an even year(red) or an odd year(green).
If I still have braces for graduation (which will most likely be the case :( ) I'm going to go with my fav. color combo of pink and black!

Alright, kk,

You sucked me in. Today when I was looking at the colors, I just kept going back to this pretty metallic purple I saw...so I did it! I also decided that since I did the purple, I should make my first post in this topic to make sure you would see it :)

LOL, no actually I hadn't even brushed them since before my ortho appt. I had the appt at 7:30, and then I drove back to school with breakfast on the way :)

That had been a few hours and a meal after anything had cleaned my teeth in the slightest.

You guys have given me the courage to try colored ligs at my next adjustment. I'm not certain how well they'll be received at work (civilian in law enforcement), but I'd like to do something different and fun with my braces. Thanks!

Oh...and I guess this is my first post although I've been lurking, but not registered, since I got my braces on in Dec. '06. Image Lots of great information in the forum. Thanks again.
