spacers and tooth shaving

#1 Post by ishasha »

I'm supposed to get spacers in three weeks. They are for the two crowns on my bottom molars. The plan is to put the spacers in for one week, then put the molar bands in before they can bracket the lowers.

My question: I was told that along the road, several of my teeth (including the molars) will need to be shaved to make room for the crowded teeth. If the bottom molars are banded, how are they going to shave them??

Thanks.
