Relocating with Braces

#1 Post by crysredd »

Hi all,
I am getting braces this week. I live in Los Angeles but am from NY. I am thinking of moving back to NY within the next 12 - 16 months. My treatment time for braces is estimated 6-10 months. I was just thinking up of the scenario ... what if I need to move back to NY in the middle of my treatment? I will of course try not to (especially because I will lose my insurance, etc). But in the case that i HAVE to move (family emergency, etc) will another ortho be willing to finish out my treatment?

Thanks Dr. S... Hopefully I won't be in that situation. I was just wondering if orthos taking over treatment was out of the question. :D
